I have a dialup type VPN with Fortinet and a public IP address, all VPNs are site to site type with IPsec IKE1 and xauth enabled on all sites. I’m trying to connect a RUT200 firmware RUT2M_R_00.07.12.3 but after a while it stops passing traffic by ping, and I’m not sure why, one possible reason is because of the IP address change in the cellular operator’s SIM and the lack of revalidation of the peer with the remote site. I don’t know what else to do. Help.
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
If your router has a public dynamic IP and you suspect that an IP change from your ISP might be causing the issue, you can use a DDNS service (e.g., No-IP, DynDNS) on the RUT200. This will assign a hostname to the RUT200’s dynamic IP address, ensuring that the remote peer can always resolve its current IP.
Furthermore, there’s a detailed IPsec site-to-site configuration guide between Teltonika and Fortinet devices available here:

— this might be helpful to review or provide additional insights into your setup.
Best regards,
