trying to update a RUT140 as proposed by GUI from RUT14X_R_00.07.08.1
to RUT14X_R_00.07.08.2 doesn’t work (proceed button isn’t shown after download and filecheck).

Did you try upgrading via file?
You can download the firmware from here.
And you can upload from the System > Firmware section of WebUI.
Please try and let me know about the results!

I used the “update from server” selection.
This worked for a RutX50 and a RuthX08 router before.
there are two selections, whichone do you propose?
or where csan I see whichone is installed?

the update fails as well if you try to install by file.
