Hello everyone,
actually we have the problem to update our 35 devices of RUT240 to the current mass production firmware.
It fails with error code [65573].
What does that error code mean?
Router Model: RUT240
old firmware:RUT2_R_00.07.06.10
new firmware: RUT2_R_00.07.06.13
As I mentioned above update via Teltonika RMS webportal is failing. If we connect directly to the web administration page on the device the update rarely works, but in most of the cases is does NOT work.
In most of the cases the firmware update worked if we have disabled the wlan radio before.
But honestly this can not be a solution for this problem. I have to connect to the web admin website on every single device to disable wifi and then install the firmware?
We have brought the Teltonika RMS solution to easily update all our routers at the once. Is was big time and effort to update all these device seperate.
We understand that the waeak hardware is the limiting factor for that. But then the firmware update process has to be changed to have the possibility to update the firmware via RMS. Otherwise there is no justification to pay for the teltonika RMS.
By the way: We have disabled the wifi radio via RMS on every single device, that worked for us. But there was no chance to install the firmware via RMS. Same error code as mentioned above. So we had to connect to every single device.
In the past we already often had and have the problem if a WAN connection via cable und mobile radio is active at the same time, the firmware update fails. So we often take one of the WAN connections off, to successfully install the new firmare. That is also NO solution.
The error that you are facing is usually associated with the hardware limitations of the device. A work around for this is to upgrade the FW using SMS utilities. You can an SMS using the following syntax to upgrade FW: [admin password] fw_upgrade
