Firewall.user is read only

Hi all!

I have RUT955 with firmware version RUT9_R_00.07.06.16
I added custom firewall rules in the file /etc/firewall.user
But I made some mistakes in rules.
But now, I can not change my rules via web or ssh - it dont save I cant change from ssh access in vi editor files /etc/firewall.user or /etc/rc.local.
After enter in VI command “:w” - I receive ‘/etc/firewall.user is read only’

root@RUT04:~# ls -l /etc/firewall.user
-rw------- 1 root root 4152 Dec 4 15:13 /etc/firewall.user

Any ideas?

Hello,

Use :wq! to write the file and exit.
Except if the filesystem is mounted read-only of course then nothing will permit writing.

Hello,

Could you please provide more details about the issue you are experiencing when trying to change the rules via the web interface (WebUI, if I understand correctly)? Are you seeing any error messages or encountering any other issues?

Best regards,

Hello,
I found th reason for this behavior: before this I tried to install on the router additional package and I didn’t have enough free space! Аnd it was after this that this error appeared
To fix this error I deleted files from /overlay/upper in CLI and reboot router.
as a result, I received a router with a default configuration.
thank you all!
