Hello,
i have updated a few TRB255 we use on FW 7.12.3. After the update it is very difficult to access them via RMS. I always get the " “failed to login due to unexpected error”" message.
I the tried an update to 7.13.4, but the issue persist.
If i run the CLI command rm -r /overlay/upper/usr/local/share/vuci/menu.d and the a reboot, i can again access the device, but after a while (minutes…) the session disconnects and there’s no way to continue working besides running again the command and performing a reboot. It has becom almost impossible to work this way…
Can someone tell me if the latest FW has resolved this issue? I can’t update the devices remotely and before going out in the field i want to have a stable solution.
Could you please clarify whether you’re accessing the device via RMS VPN or directly through the Actions → WebUI button in RMS? Also, was this behavior present on earlier firmware versions, or did it only start appearing from 7.12.3 onward?
For now, if possible, I would suggest updating one of the affected devices to 7.15.1 (from 7.13.4) with Keep Settings, either via RMS or WebUI, or if you don’t have physical access, by sending an <admin password> fw_upgrade SMS utilities command to the device SIM card number to initiate the firmware upgrade remotely.
HI,
i’m accessing the device directly thru RMS.
This issue started with FW 7.12.3, 7.12 was OK. Now i manged to update one of the devices to 7.14.3 and it seems to work without problems.
