We already have a solution for the wiring situation. It’s called the BAT120. It’s a battery-powered UPS that uses the same 4-pin connector as our routers. It can be connected between the power socket and routers to provide continuous power if the power grid goes down for some time.
The similar setup can be replicated with a standard 9V battery, as most of our routers accept power ranging from 9 to 30 volts.
