I am searching for a reliable global eSIM provider for routers. The RUT951 is configured for EU and AFrika coverage. The previous RUT950 wroked reliably in North Afrika.
eSim provider “Saily”: I had succesfully installed a “Saily” package but could not resolve issues with the support. Finally the support said that they do not support routers.
Many thanks for your support.
Hello,
To avoid sounding biased, we will leave the suggestions for the community users.

Hello!
For routers like the Teltonika RUT951, you’ll need a global eSIM provider that explicitly supports IoT/M2M devices, not just smartphones. Providers such as Airalo, Nomad, and Truphone (Io3) are widely recommended for EU and Africa coverage, while GigSky and Ubigi also offer router-compatible eSIMs with strong support in North Africa.
HI Debbie, thanks for your hint. Indeed we have tested Saily and Airalo. Both with a something like a 3 € package. With both we ended up in (awfull long and embarrassing) KI chats and finally the human support. They truely were friendly and somhow knowledgable. Saily finally denied support for routers but Airalo confirmed (while later with problems below) tried to imply it was not the case.
On both devices the Galaxy S22 and the Teltonika RUT951 the Airabo service in Tunesia, specifically the down- (1-1.5 mb/s) and upload speed (a bit more) was so pure that we cancelled the packages after even the human support could not help it. They reimbursed though for the unused datavolume.
We have spend “hours” to get eSIM tested and going but only minutes to insert a second SIM in the slot 2 of the Teltonika RUT951. Did we waste money for the “comfortable” eSIM option - as we wanted save time of hunting a local SIM? We will see. The eSIM provider all will improve in the future (hopefuly those that survice)
