eSIM Provider for RUT241

Hello,
I just tried to test my recently purchased RUT241 eSiM router.
I tried to load a 2 day Europe eSIM from HolyFly, but I only get a Fatal Error with no further details while downloading the eSim data (Activation code and QR code).
Is there anybody who successfully could use any eSIM profile ?
My use case is to have it on a sailing boat, crossing multiple countries, mainly EU, and enable us to havbe Internet during our trips.
The RUT241 has current firmware.

The issue was that the device didn’t have an active internet connection.

Just a quick reminder—to install an eSIM profile, the device must have an active WAN connection. This can be:

  • Wired WAN (connected via Ethernet cable to the router’s WAN port)
  • WiFi WAN (e.g., using a hotspot from your phone)

I have a similar issue in Austalia with Holafly, I can get the eSim profile loaded but it will not register to the carrier. all i get is the following:

Actually, got it working. I enabled roaming on the eSIM as Holify uses multuiple carriers. Also had to install the APN database package to create a custom APN.

Hello, I have somehow the same problem. I upload in the esim profile the qr code and I get the message that the profile is downloading. After a few seconds, I get the message that the esim profile failed to be downloaded. I mention that my computer is connected to internet via wifi and the router is connected to my computer via lan

Could you please confirm if your router has internet access? It can be connected to another device via an Ethernet cable into the WAN port, or you can connect your router to a WiFi network, just as you connected your PC.

Yes, the router was connected to internet via wan port.
