I am using TRB140 & TRB500 and I have a problem setting the email account for the email notifications. I have double checked everything and I cannot find any problem. I fill out the form as I should but the “Send test email” procedure always fails.
In this case, could you let me know what type of password you are using for the email account?
If you’re using a Gmail account, I’d recommend using the SMTP server port 587 for email notifications. It’s also important to ensure that the password you’re entering is an App password, not your regular account password. I have tested the “Send test email” function and can confirm it works as expected. When the test is successful, the email address provided in the “Sender’s email address” field should receive a test email from the router.

This is a self hosted email account on Hostmonster. The password is alphanumeric. I have tested the email also on other devices for alerts and it seems to work fine. I have also tried the non secure option with the settings that my provider gives me but again I have the same problem.
I have managed to send an email but only with the non secure option. Can you please fix the compatibility between the gateway and the hostmonster secure SSL/TLS?
