I’m experiencing issues with EE SIM cards in my Teltonika RUTX50 router. The SIM cards work perfectly in a phone, but they fail to connect when inserted into the router. Here are the steps I’ve already taken:
- Checked APN settings: Confirmed they are correct the APN for EE is everywhere.
- Restarted the connection: Tried multiple times.
- Ensured SIM cards are properly seated: Verified they are correctly placed in the SIM tray.
- Updated firmware: Running the latest version.
- Tested SIM cards in a phone: They work without any issues.
Despite these efforts, the router still fails to connect using the EE SIM cards. My personal EE SIM connects immediately which is why im confused.
Good afternoon,
Firtsly, please see if all of the antennas are correctly screwed on the device. Please clarify whether you use Teltonika original antennas, or third party?
Please also try to band-lock the device. Check which band the device connects to the easiest, and in WEBUI Network → Mobile → Connection change the band to manually connect to your preffered one. More info : Band Lock - Teltonika Networks Wiki
Could you also send us a screenshot from Status → Network → Mobile, while covering sensitive information. It will help us further troubleshoot the issue.

Arturas
Hi there,
Just additionally to clarify, have you tried a different Sim card in this device?

Hi
Yes, I have tried my own personal EE Sim card and it works fine in Sim 1 as soon as I put a company EE sim card in sim 1 it registers the sim has been inserted but shows as disconnected I have tried multiple EE APN settings and still nothing.
O2 & Vodafone sims all work fine in the same sim slot.
Thanks
Aaron
