Duckdns setup, where does the token go? RUT240

Hi, I am attempting to setup a RUT240 on the duckdns DDNS service. I do not wish to enter my GITHUB credentials in the ddns setup page on the RUT. how do I use the token issued me by Duckdns?

Hello,

At the moment, the native DDNS configuration for duckdns requires a username and password input, and it doesn’t officially support using a token-based authentication method directly within the dedicated configuration fields.

However, for testing purposes, you might try using the following URL format in the Lookup Hostname field, leaving the username and password fields empty:

https://www.duckdns.org/update?domains=YOURDOMAIN&token=YOURTOKEN&ip=

Just replace YOURDOMAIN and YOURTOKEN with your actual DuckDNS domain and token values.

Give it a try and if it doesn’t work, it would confirm that token-only authentication isn’t supported through the DDNS interface.

If you need any further assistance or have other questions, feel free to reach out.

Best regards,
