Docker support on RUTX50 – RutOS firmware

Hi Teltonika Support Team,

I’m running a RUTX50 router on a sailing vessel and planning to deploy Signal K (a marine data aggregation server) as a Docker container on the device.

Before proceeding, I’d like to confirm: does the RUTX50 support Docker in the current RutOS firmware? I noticed the wiki page for “RUTX50 Docker” exists but contains no content, so I’m unable to determine if this is a supported feature.

Specifically, I need to know:

1. Is Docker available via the Package Manager on RUTX50?

2. If yes, which minimum RutOS firmware version is required?

3. Are there any known limitations (storage, RAM) I should be aware of?

The use case is lightweight — Signal K as a data bridge between NMEA 2000 sensors and a cloud server, with no heavy processing on the router itself.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Robert Šarić

Bump, bump

Hello,

Docker is only supported on RUTC series devices and it is available via Package Manager. Docker support in the WebUI was added with RUTC_R_00.07.16.1 FW version.

Justas

Thank you for clarifying.
