hello, could I ask for explanation RUT240 and 241 - seems be same except 3GPP FW version - what is reason use 241? or what restriction I can have if I will buy/use rut240 ?? tnx Jan
Hello,
You can use our web page to compare the devices.
However RUT240 is EOL(end of life) product you can find more information about the EOL from this link
Please also note that you need to buy the device that is manifactured for your country.(modem, frequencies, etc,…) For example USA and Europe devices support different frequencies on their LTE modems.
You can find detailed information about this from the ordering section on our web page.

hello, thanks, I check and compared data from web, but only parameter 3GPP release is different and unclear
Also same if we want to have 4port router RUT901 or 951 they have only 3GPP FW difference. In practicaly I have no idea if release 9 or 10 is better.

I continue to use the RUT240 and have never had a complaint from any of my data.
Hello,
The only difference between RUT901 and RUT951 is modems. They’re identical function-wise.
The same thing goes for RUT906 and RUT956.
The most important thing for you is to find the best option that suits you. From both economical/functional perspectives.

Caner
I wouldn’t buy RUT240 now since looking into the future they are not going to get latest software updates, as you can see right now RUTX (and every other that is not EOL) is on 07.07.1 and RUT240 is on 07.06.11. And as said here they are not going to receive 07.07.x or any newer major release.
When purchasing a modem for a specific use case, I rarely find that I am later in dire need of a firmware function which did not exist at the time of purchase. But if it is a security flaw, then yeah, you"re dead in the water.
