Hi,
I got my hands on a RUT240 but ran into some issues:
The Wifi is difficult to connect to; it will say it is unavailable, says the password is wrong occasionally.
Some devices can connect sometimes but others will still have issues
Especially when I try to run a speedtest it will introduce these issues. But also browsing on two devices at the same time will make the wifi drop and give before mentioned issues
Two different SIMs from two providers (Youfone(/KPN) and Odido (T-Mobile)). Both have the same issues
The log does not show anything useful
I have reset the device probably 20 times.
Most of the time I get 2 mbps and it will give these issues after 30mb of data. Once I was able to watch a Youtube video and use 3 GB but it normally the networking doesn’t work for longer than 2 minutes
I then bought another RUT240 and it gave me the same issues. Does it have to do something with IOS/MacOS? Literally the only thing that makes me doubt is my devices I use to connect to it but I can’t fine anything about it online.
Thanks for your response! Yes both RUT240’s are on the latest firmware. Actually, the (two different) owners I got them from updated them before they sold them to me but never ran it on that firmware themselves. This was my final idea, that something was up with the latest firmware so I installed an old one but that didnt resolve it…
Hi @bertus,
I admit that I don’t have any experience with the
latest f/w. We run around 60 RUT240s, for now
all of them are on f/w RUT2_R_00.07.04.5_WEBUI.bin.
This one is really ancient but works flawlessly
with our setup.
Maybe you give this one a try.
