Connection droppouts RUTX50

We have had 2 RUTX50 routers running just fine for quite some time. After updating to 07.06 firmware. The LAN nodes experience connection problems after a few days of runtime. Reboot and it works for another couple of days.

When this happends I see the memory consumption on the router is very high (90%). Normally it is averaging on about 40%. Not many clients, and CPU load is only 2-3%

Also we see a lot of log statements like this:

Any idea of what this could be?

Hello,

I would advise upgrading the RUTX50 firmware to the newest version available, as there is already version 07.06.10 available, and version 7.07 is on the way. There was a memory leak issue before, and this might be the same case in this situation, but it is solved in the newest firmwares.

Best regards,

Hi again,

We are already running 07.06.10. This last update seemed to help in the sense that it took longer time until the problem occurred after a reboot. Also, it doesn’t look like a continuous leak. The memory consumption seems to be steady for some time, before it rapidly increases to about 90%. Trying to export the troubleshooting file in this state, causes a reboot.

Hi there,

Did this issue start occurring after you upgraded to a specific version, or is it happening with all versions starting from 7.06? It seems like we need more information to come to any conclusions. If possible, could you generate a troubleshoot file? However, please ensure that the file captures the visible issues. You might need to run the device for a while before extracting the troubleshoot file. I understand that you mentioned it causes the device to reboot, but if you manage to generate the file successfully, we’ll be able to investigate this issue further.

Best regards,

Hi again,

The problems seemed to occur after updating to to a 7.06.x. Don’t remember the exact version. Today we experience a similar problem, but the memory consumption seems ok. However we have lost connection. We have multiple instances of the RUTX50 on the same location, and the others are still running good. I have been able to download the troubleshooting file. How should I send it?
