Hello,
We have more than a few remote sites that require a mobile connection, and we plan to replace the existing mobile routers with Teltonika’s RUTX50. We are currently testing whether using Teltonika’s routers is a viable solution. We specifically need to set the devices to bridge mode so that the device behind the RUTX50 can be accessed via its public IP for remote connections.
Current Setup:
The Teltonika RUTX50 (acting as the edge router) successfully provides a bridged mobile internet connection to a Palo Alto Firewall.
The Palo Alto FW correctly receives the static public IP (188.x.x.13).
However, the Palo FW requires a specific gateway (188.x.x.1), which must be kept this way and can’t be changed.
The RUTX50 currently assigns an internally generated gateway (188.x.x.14) instead.
Questions:
Can the RUTX50 gateway be manually set to 188.x.x.1?
Or is this controlled by the SIM APN settings?
Is it possible to configure specific DNS servers on the mobile bridge interface?
We would appreciate it if your engineers/programmers could provide more insights on how to configure these settings (working via CLI is no problem.).
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,
