Hi,
it’s me again. This time, I am trying to create a new interface and configure DHCP on that interface, preferably in a single RMS apply operation.
You can easily reproduce this by starting on a RUTX10 which has been freshly reset to factory values and then adopted into the RMS. You can verify that the builtin lan interface and the DHCP server is configured like this by reading back the configuration from the device into the RMS:
Then create a new interface and a new DHCP server identically to what is already there
I notice that there is no setting for “Interface” in the RMS dialogs. How do I correctly create a new Network Interface in the RMS?
I then create a new DHCP server:
Trying to apply this configuration results in the following error:
The guest interface was created successfully, but when I read back the interface definition to the RMS it looks like:
That “Interface: [object Object]” looks fishy. I think the Interface didn’t get created correctly?
What did I do wrong here?
Greetings, Marc Haber
