After that, I would like to ask which are the next steps. Do I have to make some changes to the firewall or port forwarding?
I am not very familiar. Thanks
This is correct, the RUT is not the initiator of the tunnel so it has nowhere to connect to and don’t need a public IP in the peer’s configuration.
The public IP will be needed for the PC you’ll have to set it manually (or a dns name if you have one).
In the PC’s config file (not the screen config on the RUT) you must set the "Address = " field to 10.5.0.2/24.
In the firewall section, set wireguard => lan to Accept / Accept / Accept.
And don’t forget to set “Route allowed IPs” to on.
The total view of this project is to reach access to the local network in multiple RUT200 (one each time) via my PC.
Every RUT200 has a unique DNS hostname (like: xxxxxxxx.dyndns.org))
Add “MTU = 1280” in the [Interface] section (and in the RUT config also).
Set PersistentKeepalive to 25 (not 1).
The rest of the config in the “Edit tunnel” section looks correct.
Save it and start the wg tunnel. What do you see ?
As your private key is visible destroy it and generate a new one !
Thank you again for the whole support.
In RUT 200 in wireguard configuration I have to put the IP addresses 10.5.0.1/24 and in the peer I have to leave the public key empty and set the allowed IPs 10.5.0.2/32?
About your answer, “Yes. And you can also add the the lan network of the PC.”
Is that necessary? My PC has got an IP automatically ( e.g. now is 192.168.1.32)
If everything goes well, I will have access to the local network(192.168.1.0) of the RUT200?
Regarding the error, is it necessary to reboot the router?
Because I faced many problems in completing this task.
And one more question: Is there a possibility of arranging a session to complete the configuration with the relevant charge?
With whom from your company do I have to inform for that request?
Perfect
Please proceed with the arrangement for this session based on availability and send me all the necessary information.
Thank you again for supporting.
Could you please confirm if you are still experiencing this issue? If so, let me know which firmware version is installed on your RUT200. If it is not the latest version (7.11.3), please update your device. You can download the firmware here: RUT200 Firmware Downloads.
If the issue persists after updating the firmware, could you please specify when you receive the error notification in the top-right corner, is it blank with no text displayed?
