Communication between 2 RUT260 via simcard Static IP

Hello Everyone,

I have 2 RUT260 routers with M2M SIM cards (static IP) in them. How can I configure and check to know that there is communication between each RUT260 router? I have connected both via switch LAN to my laptop and configured the LAN IP addresses differently for both.

Hello,

When you mention “Static IP” - do you mean to say that both of these SIMs have a Public IP?

What exactly is it that you want to do? Communication between these two routers, if it’s local, let’s say, can happen if they were in the same subnet (however, you can use routes and such to help them communicate if they were in different subnets too).

Now when it comes to communication over the internet - I’d suggest looking into setting up a VPN connection. If both of these are on Public IPs, you can use, say, WireGuard or IPSec to set up the connection.
