Client Modbus to HTTP Post (RUT200)

Hello,
I am unable to configure my RUT200 to send my Modbus data acquired through a Modbus client service to a private HTTP server. I have properly configured the Modbus acquisition part and I can test the read data. However, for the HTTP Post part, I don’t know how to do it. I tried with Data to server, but nothing happens on the HTTP server side.
Would you have a procedure?
Thank you,

Hello,

Since you did mention data to server, I’d like to also direct you to this Wiki page: RUT200 Data to Server - Teltonika Networks Wiki

This explains quite a bit of the inner workings of the service, which might help you understand this better.

As for your tested configuration, could you possibly provide some images so I could skim-through and check whether there were any errors made? Make sure to blur out any sensitive information (passwords, IPs, MAC addresses, serial numbers, etc.)

Good morning,
Thank you for your help, attached are the parameters set in the Data to server services and Modbus client.

Hello,

Configuration looks just fine. Few things to note:

  • Double check your authorization credentials (e-mail, password) for typos
  • Double check the server port, whether it’s correct
  • Ensure that the server you’re sending data to supports JSON as a format. Try different formats (other than JSON) as well for testing purposes.

M.

Thank you for your reply; I was able to resolve the issue.
It was caused by my operating system’s firewall blocking incoming connections to the HTTP server port.

Glad to hear you’ve resolved it, enjoy your setup!!

M.
