Clarification on native cellular voice support (VoLTE / VoNR)

Hello all,

I would like to inquire about VoLTE (IMS) and VoNR (5G voice) support across Teltonika cellular devices.

Do any of your routers or gateways support:

  • Native voice services over cellular (VoLTE / IMS or VoNR), not just data connectivity?

  • Initiating and receiving voice calls directly via the SIM card?

  • Access to telephony features (e.g., dialing, call handling via WebUI, CLI, API, or AT commands)?

  • Any hardware or software interfaces for audio (e.g., voice gateway functionality)?

Or are Teltonika devices generally limited to data connectivity with VoIP passthrough only?

Any clarification or references to models that support native cellular voice would be greatly appreciated.

Thnak you in advance!

Hello Waky,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Teltonika products by design is for data connectivity and for a current moment he only voice-related use case they support is VoIP passthrough, meaning you can connect a dedicated VoIP device (such as an IP phone or ATA adapter) to the router, and it will carry the VoIP traffic over the cellular data connection.
The router itself, however, plays no active role in handling the voice services.

If native cellular voice is a requirement for your use case, we would recommend pairing a Teltonika router with a dedicated VoIP gateway or ATA adapter to handle the voice side of things.

We hope this clears things up! If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask we’re happy to help
