I have a RUTX50 and over the last few days the speed is extremely low.
I noticed that in the section Data Transmission the Carrier aggregation is inactive. Just one band is availlable (LTE B20) which appears to be very slow.
The question I have is what is the root cause of this? Normally I have 2 LTE bands and a 5G band and aggregation js active. Is this a setting in the router somewhere or is this a carrier/cell tower problem?
and finally what can I do about it? I have restarted the internal modem a few times but so far it didn’t help at all.
Greetings,
To activate carrier aggregation, the module should get decent
load. Sometimes it’s enough to run ping through mobile interface to activate carrier
aggregation, but sometimes you need to run speedtest to make module activate this
functionality.
Could you please test if carrier aggregation stays inactive when you are running a speedtest on one of the connected devices?
What is the router’s firmware version and the modem’s firmware version? You may check it at Status → System
Best Regards,
Justinas
Hi Justinas,
Thank you for your advice. I have done a Speedtest and the modem carrier aggregation is back active and the speed went up as well. Not as much as I hoped for but at least I have 2 LTE bands but no 5G band (N78 or N28).
Greetings,
Apologies for the delayed response.
Do you still require assistance or is 5G working again?
Best Regards,
Justinas
