Cant send AT commands when RS232 set to Partial - TRB142

Hi

I have exactly the same issue as in this post here with a TRB142 :

Is there any way to access AT commands from something like minicom while RS232 access is still set to Partial rather than full?

I’m pretty sure its still actually connected to the network when in Full but the LEDs just flash so there is no direct indication to the user that it is actually connected to the network.
