Can't ping devices on VPN

Hey,
I want to connect throught VPN in RMS to RUT956 and access the devices

I can ping .5 but i am not able to ping .10 and .1. I didn’t setup myself any firewall.
.
Can someone help me access the .10 and .1 ips please.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out. My suggestion would be to delete the current routes and just have 1 route for the entire subnet. So for example, the new route would be 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 via RUT956

This will allow you to reach any device on the 1.0 subnet if you decide to add more devices to the network, which might come in handy.

In the case that having these separate routes is essential for you, it shouldn’t be much of an issue. I’d like you to head to the WebUI of the RUT956, and check the Network → Firewall → Zones section. Here, we need to ensure that the Masquerading option is enabled:

Masquerading allows multiple devices on a private network to share a single public IP address when communicating with the outside world. If you enable Masquerading on the VPN zone, the Teltonika router will rewrite the source IP of packets coming from the VPN client to appear as if they came from the router’s LAN IP (e.g., 192.168.1.1).

After enabling the option, make sure to Save & Apply, give it a couple of minutes & try pinging your end-devices again.

M.

Thank you for response, I added the entire subnet but still i can only ping .5, but i can’t ping .1 and .10

Hello,

Did you follow the step where I asked you to enable Masquerading in the WebUI?

M.

Thank you M., i allowed Masquerading and it works. Thank you Lucas
