Can't fill in password in CLI

Hi All,
Just purchased a RUTX50 and installed the latest firmware for router and modem.
I am trying to login to the CLI, I manage to put in root but when prompted to fill in the password the
cursor won’t move or respond to my keyboard input.
Tried logging in remotely through RMS, directly via the routers wifi, different webbrowsers on a computer on my LAN, all with the same result.
CLI is activated.
I am doing something wrong or some ports blocked?

Hello,

When entering a password to log in via CLI, please note that the cursor will not move or display any input. Enter the username, and when you see Password:, simply type your password and press Enter.
