Can't downgrade from RUT240 to legacy

I’ve noticed that my RUT240 is running a bit slow with high memory and cpu usage on the latest firmwares (7.06.x) so I am trying to downgrade to the stable legacy version to try and squeeze some performance out of it.

When I upgrade via the webui it appears to work but then restarts and has the original firmware version.

When I perform the upgrade via ssh I get the error:

root@RUT240:/tmp# sysupgrade -F RUT2XX_R_00.01.14.7_WEBUI.bin

How can I downgrade to the legacy firmware?

fixed it by going to the latest version of firmware and then downgrading to legacy
