I’m looking for some advice. I’m using a RUT241 with the latest firmware, which provides internet via LTE in my garden. I’ve successfully set up a WireGuard tunnel, with the RUT configured only as a client. Through the VPN, I can access the remote network, but I’m unable to reach the RUT’s web interface. Can someone explain why this is happening and, more importantly, whether it’s possible to access the web UI over the tunnel, and if so, how to achieve it? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Hello,
What device/service is acting as the server for WireGuard? Depending what IP address you’re trying to reach, whether it’d be the IP that the RUT gets from the wireguard server, 10.0.0.2/24 for example, or the LAN IP, which, for example, can be 192.168.1.1 - you’d need to fill the Allowed IPs list, here’s an example:
As you can see, not only is the WireGuard IP added into this list, but also the remote LAN network & the local LAN network IPs are here.
