Can you change the name of the RUTX 50 connection to something more unique?

Hi. I have a RUTX 50 connected to a Poynting 4 x 4 antenna. Works brilliantly with managing local WIFI or with a SIM card.

When new users are searching for the service, they get RUT_77DC_2G or RUT_77DC_5G. Is there a way to change the name of the connection to something that is easier to identify?

Thanks very much.

In the menu, go to NETWORK > WIRELESS > SSIDs and click on ‘Edit’.

You can then change the ‘SSID’ field into something more meaningful.

Really helpful, thanks very much indeed. I will give that a go.

One last thing. The RUTX50 didn’t detect the SIM card initially. I did a factory reset with the SIM card still in it. No problem, but will resetting it, revert the SSID back to the original RUT_77DC_2G?

If you do a Factory Reset, it will make the SSIDs return to their default values and password, as per the sticker on the back of the RUTX50.

Hello @Davec07510,

Could you please confirm whether your issue has been resolved or if you still require any assistance?

Best regards,
