I’m currently using a RutM241 eSim in my motorhome. I am not looking for high speeds 10mbps is already enough for me to do basic browsing and watching streaming television. But in rural areas or busy cities i experience very low download speeds like 1mbps sometimes. If i then put the sim card in my phone or Huawei B818-263 4G cat19 router i still get decent speeds like 10-20mbps, probably due to carrier aggregation. Can i expect similar results using a RutM30 due to the fact it has a cat19 lte modem? Will it equal a really good 4G router like the Huawei B818-263 when it comes to the sensitivity of picking up weak signals and still get reasonable throughput? Btw, i have experimented with an external Poyting antenna but that doesn’t improve things.
Yes you can.
Hello,
Not to make any promises, but in theory, an improvement should be the case. Wider band support equals to more options of retrieving a better signal if one has a worse one, same goes with base speeds, as they should be quicker than what you’d get on a 241.

I received my RUTM30 today and immediately tried it out. I managed to get 116mbps download speed with attached RSRP, RSRQ and SINR values, and i didn’t even have the wifi antennas connected. I am impressed so far. As stated above, its not about raw speed for me, but this speed makes me trust in the benefit of band aggregation in rural areas.
Happy to hear that! Enjoy!
