BAT120 achieving less than an hour backup

Hi Teltonika Support,

I’ve been using a Teltonika BAT120 UPS alongside a RUTX50 router. According to Teltonika’s documentation, the BAT120 should keep a compatible device running for up to 6 hours - but I’m seeing less than 1 hour of backup.

Here’s what I did:

  • Fully charged the BAT120 (all 4 LEDs lit).
  • Disconnected input power to test uninterrupted mode.
  • Less than an hour in, the BAT120 shut down.
  • When I reconnected power, it started charging again, showing 3 LEDs.

This seems off, especially considering the unit is only about a year old. I’ve captured some videos of the behavior in case that helps with diagnostics. Any advice or support would be appreciated.

The device losing its charge so fast in a year sounds like a hardware-related issue. I would suggest reaching out to the shop/distributor that the device was purchased from, provide them with the serial number & ask for a repair/replacement.
