BACnet IP <- Just one Teltonika RUTX -> Cloud Server

Hello,

I recently saw that some Teltonika routers offer BACnet IP. I also saw your configuration example page: BACnet configuration example - Teltonika Networks Wiki. Both examples don’t rely fit my wish configuration.

Is it possible to send/receive data via BACnet IP in the following way with only ONE Teltonika device and no other edge device?
Random device (BACnet IP capable) ← Ethernet → e.g. Teltonika RUT256 ← LTE Internet (e.g. MQTT or something else) → Cloudserver (e.g. MQTT or Node Red, VPN configuration? …)

Thank you in advance!

Hi MasterG87,

Welcome to Teltonika Networks Community!

In the article, RUT1 is used as a communication mode for the BacNET server and the remote bacnet controller.

It is possible to use only one Teltonika device as long as the BacNET server can communicate with the remote bacnet controller. Also, the server should support BacNET protocol. Our device will just act as a gateway between the Bacnet server and controller. As of now, our data to server does not support BacNET, hence we can’t forward it to an MQTT server.

Let me know if this helps.

Regards,
