Automatic firmware updates via RMS

Hi there,

My company plans to use RMS, but is there a way to do automatic firmware updates via RMS?

Hello,

Theoretically, automatic firmware updates could be configured on the devices themselves, by adding the command rut_fota -k to the Crontab file. This command could be added to all devices using the RMS task manager.
However, to avoid any issues that might arise from firmware updates, I suggest manually updating a few devices once the new firmware comes out, keep them on the new firmware for a few days, and if all goes well, update the rest of devices by simply selecting them in RMS, and updating the firmware for the rest of them all at the same time. This will not take much time, and will ensure that all devices are functioning properly.
