Authentication cookie shared across all the ports

I’ve realized that the authentication cookie used by routers (RUT200 specifically) are shared across all the ports.
In some systems we have two routers accessible with the same public IP (but different port) and we lost the login session when switch between the web interfaces.

I’m not an expert in software development but I think it would be possible to specify the port when setting the cookie.

Would it be possible for you to implement this change in the future?

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion and consideration.

Your request is currently under review and analysis. Once the evaluation is complete, I will get back to you with further information, findings, or suggestions.

Right now, the web UI authentication cookie is bound to the hostname or IP address but not the port, which is why sessions are invalidated when switching between routers on the same public IP with different ports.

In the meantime, as a potential workaround, you could try:

  • Accessing one of the routers through a different hostname or private IP (if possible);
  • Use separate browsers or private/incognito windows.

Thank you for your input and patience.

Best regards,
