My company has used a large number of Teltonika devices for a good number of years, to provide stable internet connectivity for remote temporary installations, mostly in near and offshore environments. I’ve seen all sorts of lash ups, from being taped to broom stick handles and cable tied to shipping containers in plastic bags, to improve signal to just all out gaffer taping units across windows inside containers/accommodation modules to get signal without a proper antenna.
Appreciate the universal cable tray/unistrut style adapters, but having 4 tapped holes in the unit to accept Teltonika branded magnets or suctions cups would, in my opinion be a preferred option for temporary installations that I’ve come across. To solve my personal issues, I’ve drilled and tapped the router body to accept M4 window suckers and used this on my last trip…game changing for remote, temporary deployment! Please see below!

I’m bit puzzled how those magnets and sucercups were connected and also how magnets connect to device unit. Isn’t that non magnetic aluminum chassis on that model too?
Deburr with a needle file and clean out any swarf with soap/water or contact cleaner. Leave to dry.
Trial fit the threaded parts, taking care they do not protrude inside the body. Reduce length if required. (I wound an M4 nut onto the thread before cutting down in a vice with a junior hacksaw. Removing the nut recuts the thread at the cut face, just in case!
Just found this photo…perfect example! Circa 600quid (UK retail?) router lashed up with tape…the tape is on my company, given our crew had greater pressures from mobbing £££'s vessel and equipment over a period of 3ish weeks, that’s just what it is…but still. Highish value piece of electronic equipment, taped to a window sill…don’t feel it aligns with the premium quality that Teltonika offers…hence my previous idea! Without any judgement , I expect this initial ideal to be throw out based on machining cost etc, as the preference for self tapping screws is all over…but please share this image with those teams that hold the purse strings for product development, it tells a better story than my original request!!
