Additional authentification RUT240

Dear Teltonika, I try to reset remotely a RUT240, which I succeeded, but unfortunately I cannot command it to connect to RMS. Moreover I have the following Warning message in RMS platform that says that the device need additional authentification. The problem is that I don’t know how can I perform remotely this additional authentification.

I there a SMS command that enables this additional authentification?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

To proceed with the additional authentication, could you kindly check if you can find the Authentication code on the Device details page in RMS? This code can be inserted remotely using an SMS Utilities command.

You can send the following command via SMS using the SMS Utilities to configure the authentication code:

<admin password> uci set rms_mqtt.rms_connect_mqtt.auth_code='your auth code' && uci commit rms_mqtt

and then

<admin password> rms_connect

Please let me know if that helps or you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Well, I got this answer from the RUT240, but still it doesn’t connect with the RMS

Hi,

In this case, could you please try restarting the RMS service using the following SMS commands:

  1. Turn off RMS:
    <admin password> rms_off
  2. Turn on RMS after a few moments:
    <admin password> rms_on
  3. Force RMS connection:
    <admin password> rms_connect

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, you can also try:

  1. Disable Monitoring:
    <admin password> monitoringoff
  2. Enable Monitoring after a few seconds:
    <admin password> monitoringon

Additionally, could you confirm if the device is not registered under another company in RMS?

Moreover, it appears your device has an outdated legacy firmware version installed. I recommend updating it to the latest legacy firmware, which can be downloaded from here.

Best regards,

It did worked out, many thanks !!!

I’m glad it helped. If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out.

Best regards,
