Access Hikvision Camera remotely on RUT241

I hope you can help me with my problem. In the end I want to have a camera connected to the LTE router and access it remotely (not from the same network)

I got a RUT241 which is connected to the Internet via 4G SIM-Card. It got the latest firmware (R_00.07.06.6). I set up the network and connected the camera directly (Hikvision DS-2CD2626G2-IZS). I assigned a static ip address and within the network it works fine. I can access the camera directly via the ip address.

Now I want to access the camera outside the network. For this I want to use Hik Connect. Unfortunately I can’t find the camera in the Hik Connect portal and it appears to be offline. The message is “The device is offline. No search result is found.”. So I am unable to add the camera to Hik Connect.

According to the internet, there is a problem with the connection between the camera and the Hik Connect server.

I tried enabling port forwarding for ports 80, 8000, 554 and 443, but with the same problem. I haven’t done this before so maybe I made a mistake.

Could you help me please?

Thanks in advance!

Typically, Hik Connect requires TCP port 8000 for video streaming and TCP port 554 for RTSP forwarded to your HIKvision device. For more detailed information, please refer to the Hikvision forums or manual.

If you’re unsure about the port forwarding rules you’ve set up, you can find information on port forwarding here: Port Forwarding Guide

Best regards,

Hello Marijus,

thanks for your reply!

Can you see my screenshot? The Camera got the ip Adress to which the ports should be forwarded.

Edit: I saw I typo and added two more ports - unfortunately with the same result.

It seems like port forwarding has been set up correctly. Have you enabled forwarding in the WAN zone to accept forward connections? You can do this by navigating to Network → Firewall → General Settings and setting Forward to Accept in the WAN zone.

Best regards,

I just changed it from “Reject” to “Accept”

Still no connection:

Please contact HIKVISION (or read relevant manual) as there may be some additional steps required that don’t involve port forwarding.

Best regards,
