Hi, teltonika routers in wifi STATION mode uses the info provided by 802.11k and v for enhance roaming process?
Hi there,
What device are you referring to exactly?
For example, the TAP200 uses the following:
Wireless mesh (802.11s), fast roaming (802.11r), BSS transition management (802.11v), radio resource measurement (802.11k)
This information can be found in the relevant device page on our website, under the Wireless section:

Hi,
The DAP140 or RUTM10 for example, i know k/v can be enabled on AP mode but my question is if on STATION mode k/v frames are actually used.
I understand in AP mode you can select whether to enable these protocols but in STATION mode these options disappear from the roaming tab on the web ui, so i assume k/v are always taken in account on STATION mode.
This question comes because other brands like Mikrotik or others on STATION mode indeed receive the frames related to 802.11k/v but doesnt do anything with them.
On the AGV/AMR field taking in account k/v info improves greatly the roaming feature which is critical in these enviroments to maintain a good quality wifi connection.
Hi,
I’ll create a request for the R&D team and will get back to you once I have more information.
Thank you,
M.
Any update on this? @MatasR
Hello,
No response as of yet, but I’ve re-pinged our R&D to ask about this. Will get back to you (hopefully) soon.
