Maybe I can get some help with this issue as I have upgraded our test/dev TRB143 from 7.07.3 to 7.08.1 to test the updated M-Bus functionality and see how it works. Before performing the update I did check the firmware change log to check but there was no mention of the config files being different to account for the different M-Bus driver.
Unfortunately this update seems to break the existing M-Bus network functionality and I am unable establish communications with the M-Bus meters that were previously working.
Has anyone else noticed this characteristic? I am resisting performing a complete reset as this would be impractical should we need to do a firmware update to field devices.
I do not have a Teltonika contact as we purchase all our devices through a reseller.
It seems like there is an issue with the communication protocol as this setup had previously been working without missing any readings at a read interval of 60 seconds.
I have just updated from 07.08.1 to 07.08.2 as the former has been withdrawn. This as yet does not appear to have resolved the issues communicating with the M-Bus device.
Our development department is currently aware of this. I will inform you as soon as I receive a response from them. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Kindly use 7.07.3 FW for the mean time.
Thank you for the update and confirming there is a known issue. I will await an update to the firmware 7.08.xx so I can test how it performs.
Reverting back to 7.07.3 is likely to wipe some/all of the configurations which have been migrated for the newer firmware and though this would solve the problem it would remove ability to properly test newer firmware update.
I recently bought this Gateway and cannot revert to the old version. How long do you think the development will take? I really need it before the end of August.
It is possible to download older firmware versions from the below link. Only thing is you will have to reconfigure the gateway due to differences in various config files.
I actually tried this, but I was not able to set it up at all. There is quite a different approach with the new firmware. I have two meters directly connected and need to send them to an MQTT-server in JSON-format. This wiki: Example of sending M-Bus data to a server - Teltonika Networks Wiki is really old and is not possible to follow.
