2 questions about wireless mesh configuration example

Hi,

I have just followed the wireless mesh configuration tutorial (https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Wireless_Mesh_configuration_example) and and all went well.

I have 2 questions:

  • What happen if I use a channel other than the 11?
  • Can I increase the value for “Enter RSSI threshold for joining: -80”.

If a set a -60 or -70, will my clients have a better link budget with respect to the deployed APs (at the cost of a less extended network)?

Hi,

  1. You can choose any of the channels. But the same channel should be used on all mesh devices
  2. Cannot comment on this with much confidence. My guess this is important when you have many nodes and it prevents distant nodes connecting directly with horrid speeds instead of connecting via hop.
