Wifi connection?

Bluetooth connection is just not enough. I think evc2 station is fully capable to handle local wifi for the app, why its still not there while every other station has this function?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us. First of all, my apologies about slow response to your inquiry. The mobile application on Android and iOS devices has capability to connect to EVC2 using Bluetooth and local WIFI network. Keep in mind that mobile phone has to use the same network to reach out to EVC2 locally. We will update our wiki page with information that will reflect the changes that we made from EVC1 to EVC2 iteration.

thats not true. unit connected to same wifi, mobile app as well. you cant connect to the ev2 over the app. bluetooth is mandatory. otherwise, prove me wrong?

Hello,

My apologies about possible misleading you. Right now this function works only with Android phones as this function temporarily disabled on iOS devices as we noticed undesired workflow. As how long it will remain disabled on iOS I cannot say, but engineers working to resolve this as soon as possible. As for feature itself, I am adding photo of Android device:

As you can see, there two new icons next to device status indicating both connection types and their availability. On this Android phone, I have BT connection turned off and local wifi network on. You can connect to the device as long as you remain on the same network. Keep in mind that for the first time, at least currently, you still have to connect to the wifi.

If you are using Android device and having issues connecting using local network, please let us know.
