What GPS model support MQTT protocol transport?

Hey, greetings,

Wondering what GPS model is MQTT based ?

And is it applicable to have a custom firmware for OBD tracker e.g. FMC003 to support MQTT protocol?

Thanks

Hello,

Good day, Thank you for reaching out to Teltonika Telematics Forum!

Yes, we do support AWS and Azure platforms.

FMC003 supports MQTT with the latest firmware 03.28.03.Rev.97:

Thanks Maynard for you prompt reply,
Is the MQTT Client Type is binded to these IoT platforms only (AWS and Azure) ?
Can we connect to any other IoT Platform like Alibaba for example, or self-hosted MQTT ?

Thanks

Hello,

As of now, we support AWS and Azure, so other cloud platform is not yet supported, in case you want other cloud platform to be supported, you need to contact your sales manager for the firmware development.

Thanks for your reply.

What about just communicating with mqtt endpoint and port only without a specific integration with dedicated vendor platform, just like tcp/ip ? is it applicable on the current firmware if we just set mqtt domain and port #, as as second server params ? does it send the data regardless the configuration required in “MQTT settings” section ?

I think it still needs a topic to send to.

Thanks
