What can you do when the vehicle compatibility list is insufficient?

We are considering using a number of FMB003 Telematics devices as part of our service offering, which includes the retrieval of certain parameters from stationary vehicles and which the SIM-enabled Teltonika devices appear to be a good option.
The only issue is that there are a limited number of compatible vehicles on the list, and so I wanted to know what our options are. Some potential options as I see it:

  • If there are specific cars missing can we ask Teltonika to explore adding them for everyone? I can see this working for one or two cars but what if we are talking about 50+ models?
  • If we find the PIDs and parameters for the missing cars ourselves, are we able to add them to our Teltonika portal or does it not work like that?

Thanks

Hello @CW001

If the vehicle is not available in the supported list, you can still proceed with testing the device. Ensure the device is updated to the latest firmware.
Then, try testing the device by manually entering the VIN number , as below

Be Noted that If your vehicle is not in the supported lists, it does not mean that you cannot install the device - Regular OBD data will still be available.
