Use Eye Beacon for Immobilization?

Hello, I have a FMM130, CAN-CONTROL IMMO and Fiat Ducato 250 (EURO 5 PLUS). Program number is 12677 and I connected them using the wiring diagram of FIAT_DUCATO_EURO5_PLUS_250_2014_en.pdf (2022-12-15).

The remote GPRS commands for blocking/unblocking the engine work, but the Immobilization-Feature of the FMM130 does not. I want the engine to be automatically blocked, if the authorized Eye Beacon is out of range. However I can only define a DOUT, not the CAN blocking/unblocking command.

However, when I put the Eye Beacon to sleep with the Eye App, it won’t block the engine, as I would expect… Or is there a different way, how to trigger the “out of range”-event?

Can you please verify my setup and let me know how to correct it?

Thank you!

Hello,

The immobilizer scenario with Beacon is not linked with CAN-Control.

If you have connected CAN-control then it will only work with CAN supported commands,
moreover the eye beacon from immobilizer doesn’t depend on CAN-adaptor and both couldn’t work together,

I beacon will only work for immobilizer using the device’s feature , check the below screenshot for more clarity

Thanks Maryam. So basically I need to install the starter relay, connect it to DIN1 for ignition detection and it is not possible to use CAN-CONTROL instead, as I expected?

Hello,

The CAN-Control can also be used for immobilizer ; however, it requires connection to the CAN-line of vehicle , also it needs to be connected to the vehicle according the the wiring diagram which will suppose to provided by Teltonika support for the correct setup.
Further you need to send commands for lock/unlock

Check the list of supported vehicle from link https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/images/1/1a/CAN-CONTROL_IMMO_2024_05_15_en.xlsx

For immobilizer using the device only ,

  1. To control the engine, connect a relay to the DOUT and Din of the device.
  2. For authorization, you can connect an iBeacon.

Find the below wiring diagram for reference

Thanks for your answer. I don’t get why it’s not possible for Teltonika to use CAN, to avoid a redundant hardware setup, eventhough the values are already present as virtual values via CAN… :persevere:
