Hi, I have just bought a TAT140 to use as vehicle tracker. When the device is connected via USB the light flashes and it responds to SMS getinfo command. However if it is not connected via USB nothing is happening, i.e. no light flashing and no response to SMS command. Once reconnected via USB it then responds again. Is this a configuration problem on my part or a power issue? As I’m seeing some output via SMS or GPRS in the Ruhavik app it is working, just only when connected via USB as far as i can tell.

It seems to be a battery issue.
There is a physical switch; the switch needs to be “On” for the device to operate if there is no USD cable.
2nd thing, you need to check the battery voltage and let me know how much it is

Thanks Laith. Yes it is definitely a power issue, either with the wiring within the battery pack of the connection to the circuit board. If I jiggle it about a bit the green light comes on temporarily but will immediately go off when placed back into the casing.
I’ve contacted the supplier.
