I recently purchased a new Teltonika FMC880 tracker and am unable to configure it using the Teltonika Configurator.
Device Information
- Model: FMC880
- Hardware: FMC880-QJAB0
- IMEI: 863738074751265
- Firmware: 03.29.00 Rev.458
Computer
- Windows 11 Pro
- Teltonika Configurator 1.8.10_B.4.00_R.7
Problem
The Configurator detects the device successfully and displays:
- IMEI: 863738074751265
- Firmware: 03.29.00 Rev.458
- COM4
However, the device status shows:
Not supported
Double-clicking the device does nothing, and I cannot read or modify the configuration.
Troubleshooting already completed
- Powered the FMC880 from a stable 12 V DC supply.
- Connected via a micro-USB data cable.
- Windows detects:
- USB Modem Port (COM4)
- USB Debug Port (COM5)
- The device powers on normally (green LED active).
- SIM card is installed correctly.
- Latest Configurator detects the device but reports “Not supported.”
- Attempted to use the older Configurator (1.7.72_B.3.29_R.11), but it does not launch correctly on Windows 11 because of a runtime issue.
Questions
- Is firmware 03.29.00 Rev.458 public firmware or an OEM/customer-specific firmware?
- Is this firmware compatible with the public Teltonika Configurator?
- Is there a recommended Configurator version for this firmware?
- If necessary, could you provide the correct firmware recovery or upgrade procedure?
- Could you verify from the IMEI whether this device is genuine and eligible for the public firmware?
The device was purchased as new from an eBay seller located in Lithuania.
