A newbie question: After providing DC current (through DC and GND cables) to my new FMC920 in my office, I connected to it through Configurator. The device recognised the SIM card and started sending location data to Traccar server over GPRS.
Following the manual, I tried sending SMS commands but the device does not respond. The " setparam" command doesn’t change any configuration. Even the " getinfo" command does not report anything. Status → GSM-Info → SMS-Count → ReceivedSMS increases with every SMS the device receives, but SentSMS is always 0(zero)
SMS/CALLSettings → SMS_Commands → Login & Password are both empty. And yes, the two blank spaces have allways been inserted before the command. Using a mobile phone, I have also made sure that the SIM card can send SMS messages.
I added my sender number in three different lines as “XXyyyy504727”, “+XXyyyy504727” and “504727” into the list, XX being the country code. When I tried without username and password, I received the logs below.

It is interesting to see some characters at the beginning of each SMS message. Can this be related with my problem ?
The issue has evolved into a strange one. I have tried 2 more mobile phones when sending SMS commands, and it seems that FMC920 does not accept commands from iPhone’s but do accept from Samsung/Android. Any idea how I can resolve this ?
My FMC920 gives no response to SMS, whether I use an iPhone or Android to send the command, and despite all the conditions stated in this thread having been satisfied.
