You can use USB flash drive for memory expansion on RUT956. This would allow you to install the necessary packages, such as Python3.

Since other services on RUT are already using the RS232 serial port, I cannot guarantee that your solution will work properly. However, you can try.

For Modbus, you will want to use ubus commands mentioned here.

Hi, my use case is as follows: I have a QR code scanner connected to RS485 on a TRB245. Whenever a scan is done, the data should be sent in realtime to a remote MQTT broker. How can I do this? I’ve tried all combinations of modbus client/server/ setups but nothing is working. I have confirmed using CLI that the device is working correctly and I am receiving the data in the console.

TRB245 Modbus RTU registers

Hello, Im reading modbus registers from Lumel 92RE (as slave) by TRB245(master) via modbus RTU. The read register no. 4005 is 16bit integer number. I would like to send an sms alarm triggered by change in 7th bit of this register (0 or 1). Please help me.
