Question: Bluetooth device to identify driver and diable alarm?

Hi there,
I am looking into a fmc920 to track my car/motorbike.
Is there a way to use my Phone or some bluetooth beacon to disable a preset alarm (eg via geofence)?
So I would not need to disable it manually (via Text, etc.)

This is a private tinkering project. So I am looking at a limited budget
Thank you!

Kind Regards,
Mathias

Hi,

Good day, how to want to implement the scenario?

Which features you want to enable into the device?

Maybe the custom scenario firmware can help you : Custom Scenarios - Teltonika Telematics Wiki

Hey Maynard,
thank you for the quick reply.

The Custom Scenario looks like a good base to build the workflow! :grinning:

I am not sure what you are getting at… If you ask for my “alarm” features: I was thinking about using a relay to disable the vehicle (e.g. the fuel pump).

Is it possible to use a mobile’s bluetooth capabilities to trigger a scenario?
And if not, is there some other bluetooth device that could be used as a trigger?

The scenario I have in mind:
I have some bluetooth device that get’s detected by the gps tracker and allows me to start/run the vehicle (without any alarms). If the device is not detected an alarm is send and possibly a relay disables the vehicle.

Hello, You can try to use a beacon simulator and install it to your phone, once the beacon ID is detected create a logic using a custom scenario to trigger the DOUT or activate or deactivate it.

Another solution is to use an EYE beacon: EYE BEACON / BTSID1 - Teltonika Telematics Wiki
