Question about TFT100 UART support for Ninebot MAX / TST100 replacement

Hello Teltonika team,

I would like to clarify compatibility before placing an order.

We previously used the TST100 tracker for Ninebot MAX scooters.

As I understand, TST100 is now EOL and replaced by TFT100.

We are interested specifically in:

TFT100-TAIBD: Teltonika TM2500 (UART)

Could you please confirm:

1. Does TFT100-TAIBD support the same scooter communication protocol as TST100 for Segway/Ninebot MAX scooters?

2. Can TFT100 read scooter telemetry and send commands exactly like TST100?

3. Is there dedicated firmware or configuration required for Ninebot MAX support?

4. Does TFT100 support:

  • lock/unlock

  • battery data

  • speed

  • mileage

  • lights

  • riding mode

  • error codes

  • remaining range

5. Is the communication protocol fully compatible with TST100 integrations/server logic?

6. Are there any limitations compared to TST100?

If TFT100 does NOT fully support Ninebot MAX protocol communication, then:

- Are there any alternative Teltonika devices recommended for Ninebot MAX scooters?

- Is there still any possibility to order around 10 units of TST100 from remaining stock or special order?

Our integration is based on Ninebot MAX UART communication and compatibility is very important for us.

The TFT100 does not support the Ninebot MAX over UART in the same way as the TST100.

However, TFT100 does support e-floater mode on UART, which can be used to receive data via UART depending on the integration requirements.

For exact confirmation regarding Ninebot MAX G30 support and compatibility, kindly contact your Sales Manager. They will be able to assist you with creating a Partner Portal ticket so that this can be reviewed and confirmed by the relevant product team.
