we have set up a private APN which channels to a private server for security reasons. the mobile provider told us to just write the private apn name on the fmb140 settings without the server address. is it possible for it to work ?

I hope you are doing well. Yes, it is possible to set only the APN Name on the device Configurator. Suggesting you to test on it and see if the device would be able to communicate.
